The Soil and the Sea
An essayistic film about the Lebanese Civil War, taking us on a journey from the sea through cityscapes and landscapes and back to the sea, to places where atrocities committed by all factions of this war took place. Over scenery that appears unremarkable or idyllic, we hear the voices of witnesses, survivors of torture, relatives of disappeared people. A powerful, moving account of a tragedy.
