School screenings
With its 22 countries, Arab filmmaking offers exciting opportunities for young people to engage with a broad spectrum of topics.
To make this diversity of Arab films accessible to a young audience, the Arab Film Festival Zurich offers special screenings for schools during the festival at the Filmpodium.
The aim is to provide the young people with an exciting film experience, to give them an insight into Arab culture as well as a voyage of discovery through the world of film language.
The AFFZ 2022 school programme featuring the screening of the documentary film "Lift like a girl" by Mayee Zayed will take place on Friday 18 November and Tuesday 22 November 2022.

Julia Breddermann grew up in Rome and studied ethnology, film studies and international law in Zurich. For many years she has been conducting film education workshops for children and young people on a wide range of topics. She is also interested in developing new film education formats for school and extracurricular settings.
